Timeline block

Data view

The timeline block turns rows into a chronological story: each record becomes an event on a vertical rail, positioned by a date field and grouped under day headers (or year headers when the events span years).

When to use it

  • Activity histories on a record page — every touchpoint with a customer, in order.
  • Project milestones, release changelogs, event schedules.
  • Anywhere "what happened when" matters more than field-by-field detail.

Settings

SettingWhat it does
Title fieldThe event's headline.
Subtitle fieldOptional supporting line.
Date fieldPositions and orders the events. Required — publishing checks it's a real date or datetime field.
OrderRail direction. Defaults to oldest first.
Row clickThe record page an event opens when clicked.
Rows whose date field is empty are left off the rail — give the timeline a required date field if every record must appear.

Like every block, this one also has the shared block settings: a title and optional description, a header you can show or hide, auto-height, conditional visibility, and role-based visibility, plus the source table and record-filter settings shared by all data blocks.
